Do the WTS actually destroy all of your records if requested?
by Thoughtless inhello, sorry for the multiple posts, but this has also been a question of mine to ask.. .
does the wts actually destroy your files if you request them to after you get df'd?
i honestly do not believe so, yet i feel as if you cannot call them on their bs if you do.

How I obtained my personal files from Bethel
by jwfacts init has taken me a long time, but i have finally put together an article outlining how i used the law to force bethel to send me my personal files.
it is a very long article full of scans, so i have linked to it at http://jwfacts.com/watchtower/experiences/personal-files-privacy-act-1988.php.
in brief, in 2006 i requested that bethel send me my files on the basis that the australian privacy act 1988 entitles people to receive a copy of any information a corporation holds about them.

List of Trademark Applications made by the Watchtower (JW.ORG was Refused!)
by Wild_Thing intl;dr: jw.org and jw library is not trademarked because the us patent office keeps refusing their application.
i don't think either will ever be trademarked, as their design currently stands.
jw rank & file can make all the cheap promotional crap they want and the watchtower can't do a thing about it (legally anyway.).

some how we started completely skipping Sunday meetings and going straight to the lunch and margaritas. We tried going to the meetings but she would get stressed and start getting chest pains.
Perhaps she knows the TTAT. Something about it is surely bothering her if she gets sick and stressed just getting dressed. I'm glad she has you. I'm glad you have each other.
Have a pomegranate margarita for me next time., please.
Hopefully you will stumble her into being awakened.

Yes you can, but consider it Personal warfare; Yours. Confession on a need to know basis only. It's that person's business not anyone elses.
If ever called on it, be sure to reassure them you had to witness at their place of employment as they sleep during unconventional hours.
As Paul admonished, become all things to all people. Just try and keep yourself clean.

Ensure that you dont appear to be Negative , Unhappy or Bitter
by stuckinarut2 injust a quick thought.... we know that the org loves to paint all those who fade or leave as "negative, bitter and unhappy"...because of course "the truth is the happiest way to live".
so, never allow ourselves to be that way when talking with witnesses, or family members still in.. show them that we are happy, our lives are fulfilled and positive.. then they have no ammunition.
also, it helps other doubters to see that there is life in the world beyond the org..

I get the points stuck and tal made.
It's still a catch 22. If you were in and unhappy about a particular event you would get " unforseen occurences befall us all" speech. If you are out it's because you are in satan's world and don't have GOD's spirit. Another Double standard.
I do me. Somedays are happier than others, but all days are happier than when I was being brainwashed daily and in constant flux.
No day is perfect. Each day (not religious standing) comes with it's own anxieties, but being out comes with a free joy that can't be compared to anything felt in the so-called truth.

Disfellowshipping people like they can read hearts and yet, they never quote that the apostle Matthew was a tax collector while they quote scripture to justify their view point..

JUSTICE #1 - Loving Marriage Counselors
by Amazing in"wise and loving marriage counselors - preserving the sanctity of god's marital arrangement.
[note: i made some editorial adjustments, grammatical improvements, and formatting changes from the original post, but it is essentially unchanged.].

@amazing- The whole judicial process can be used to twist things in fanciful ways and thus ruin the lives of good people. It seems there is plenty of blame to pass around: those at the top of the organization set the tone for its intolerant & fear-mongering ways (i.e., "fear of demons" in this case), local elders who carry out what seems to be witch-hunting (in some cases), and of course the rank and file JW's who gossip and further damage reputations without impunity.
If you are still around. Thia is a very unfortunate story, but it too, rings true of the manipulative, think they are qualified to direct and guide people's lives elders. The pathetic and sad hating that goes on when you see the envy and jealousy run rampant in what is supposed to be GOD's house.
Yet, more often then not this seems to be the rule at the halls and not the exception.

Amazing story that rings all too true. So sad, that Elders don't know how to think for themselves and need to get direction from yet another man.

JUSTICE #13 - Praying to the Devil!
by Amazing ina little history: prior to 1971, the jw congregation government was organized around the congregation servant (cs).
he was considered the sole elder, having attained spiritual maturity, and qualified to serve.
our cs was considered a highly respected elder in the region.
